Get to know our half day kindergarten teacher Sheri Yelles
Sheri Yelles is the half day kindergarten teacher at Brookside Elementary. She has a special connection to Brookside because she was once a student at the school. From kindergarten to sixth grade, Mrs. Yelles walked the same halls she does now as a teacher.
Mrs. Yelles went to The Ohio State University for her undergrad work in education and Ashland University for her masters. Part of her masters program included using the outdoors to help students learn, which has been a focus at Brookside. The children love learning about the butterfly garden or seeing the turtles at the pond and learning about its ecosystem.
From kindergarten to sixth grade, Mrs. Yelles walked the same halls she does now as a teacher.
One of the things Mrs. Yelles likes most about Brookside is the community atmosphere and how willing everyone is to help out. She is married with two kids, two dogs, two cats, and an aquarium full of fish.
Be sure to say “hello” when you see her. Her smile is contagious!
